Fosseway Tapes Clear Pure Acrylic Double Sided High Bond Gel Tape has incredible strength and may be used with metal, acrylics, glass and other materials. As well as having incredible strength, this tape is a clear foamed acrylic adhesive tape with a special composition giving excellent all-round bonding properties and unique characteristics that give very high performance in the most demanding of applications. The tape has very good transparency which is important in many applications where the tape should be invisible.

This tape is a Clear High Strength Foamed Acrylic double sided tape for applications that require permanent bonds with the carrier being a clear foamed acrylic.

Adhesive

The adhesive used is a high performance acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive specially formulated to give top bonding properties in the most demanding conditions. The adhesive gives excellent peel and shear performance.

Red Liner

The tape is protected by a high density red polyethylene filmic liner.

Interior use

When used indoors clear pure acrylic can be used for fixing multiple problems. When clear high strength acrylic is used indoors its is extremely effective and can handle any changes of indoor temperature making it an ideal solution in the kitchen, bathroom or attic.

Exterior uses

Clear Pure Acrylic High Bond Tape is suited to outdoor use - as it is suitable for all temperatures - and is both UV and solvent resistant.

Glass

Due to our Clear Pure Acrylic tape leaving an invisible bondline when applied it is ideal for glass surfaces; leaving an almost transparent finish.

Signs

This tape provides a strong rigid bond for the most demanding external applications especially if vandalism may be an issue. As well as being demanding for external applications, it is excellent for bonding rigid extrusions and is ideal for applications requiring an almost transparent finish.

Application time

Half the strength of the bond will be applied within 20 minutes after applying the tape, 90% strength of bond within 24 hours and 100% strength of bond after 72 hours.

Applying this Double Sided High Bond Gel Tape

To achieve the best adhesion results the surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry and free from dust and loose particles.

The ideal cleaning method should incorporate use of a solvent such as isopropyl alcohol. To attain the optimum bond strength sufficient pressure should be applied to the tape to ensure good adhesive "wet out" on the substrates. The tape is pressure sensitive adhesive and the best results are achieved with maximum surface contact under pressure.

The bond strength builds to its optimum strength after 24 hours, this can be reduced by exposing the bonded materials to temperatures of 70°C for approximately 1 hour. Application temperature ranges between 20°C - 35°C.

On certain substrates a primer may be necessary or a seal if the surface is porous. Surfaces such as plasticized plastics, and other low energy surfaces will require priming.
